Less than five hours after the Dec. 10, 1964, fire that destroyed his shoe shop and left him with fatal third degree burns, Ferriday shoe shop owner Frank Morris talked to the FBI and local authorities from his hospital bed. Morris said he saw a white car, three white men and identified one of his attackers as being "real white."
